Cascina Capello
Antonio Capello's original and fun idea was to create the first butcher shop on a grassy field, complete with a barbecue area, children's playground, showers, and restrooms. The shop boasts a long tradition of raising Piedmontese Fassone beef, as well as Villanova d'Asti Bionda chicken and local pork. Visitors can stop by the shop and purchase chops, sausages, kebabs, Fassone steaks, and sirloin steaks to cook directly on the barbecues available to customers. The cured meats are also delicious: coppa, Freisa salami, Giura salami, and the famous Salame di Gallina Bionda, made with boiled breast and leg and flavored with Motta di Costigliole peppers and walnuts.
