To our grandfather, who, by buying his first plot of land for eight pennies, began a tradition that still speaks of wine today. After two generations, the Moccagatta family, together with the Marsiaj family, guided by a shared passion for wine and a lifelong friendship, have transformed a wonderful memory into a project that has become a reality tied to tradition, the land, and the production of quality wine. Dedicated to all grandparents who passionately pass on the true values of their family, Ottosoldi was born from the enthusiasm and desire to bring a niche brand firmly rooted in these values and Italian style to the world. The Ottosoldi vineyard extends over approximately five hectares, in a stunning southwest-facing amphitheater, among the Gavi hills. The estate-owned vineyard is planted exclusively with Cortese, a native grape, prized for its exclusivity both in Italy and abroad. The five thousand plants per hectare are cultivated organically, free from fertilizers and synthetic chemicals. The unique marly-calcareous soil imparts significant mineral notes that give our Gavi freshness, structure, and longevity.
