OSTERIA LA MARLERA
Mombaruzzo is the town of amaretti biscuits, which here have been the subject of a resounding De.Co. (Denomination of Origin). This identity has also been emerging in recent years in the restaurant scene, as seen with Marlera, an osteria and holiday home, which offers the option of a complete stay. The cuisine is proudly the result of home-cooked tradition, refined by two passionate lovers of good food, Vittorio and Mariangela. Appetizers (€8) include Fassone tartare, eggplant and zucchini charlotte, cockerel salad with robiola and walnuts, fried anchovies with herbs, and polenta and cod flan. First courses (€8) proudly reimagine onion soup, alongside more traditional ravioli al plin and tajarin with spelt flour and sausage ragù. Followed by veal fillet with hazelnuts, rabbit with lemon or Barbera, and cod "comudà" with onions (€11). The pork fillet with cherries is delicious, and is offered in the summer when you can also dine outside. Finish with Moscato d'Asti zabaglione, caramelized pears with nougat ice cream, and amaretto semifreddo (€5). The wine list prides itself on local products (which here speak Nice).
