Il Pozzetto

Caritin is the name of the typical dessert of Portacomaro and goes back to the "bread of the poor" which was distributed by the Congregrazione di Carità in the 18th century to the neediest families on the churchyard. Here they also make maize pastries, polentine, hazelnut cakes, almond amaretti and Brut e Böun. They also have a shop in Asti, in corso Alfieri 348, named Il Pozzetto Due.
