GELATERIA SOBAN

The Soban family has opened a second, and now a third, gelateria in Alessandria, following the one in Valenza (with its own independent laboratory). In 2011, they won the Golosario Award for best gelateria and the special jury prize for their IGP hazelnut gelato in Cortemilia (Cuneo). In their gelaterias, you'll find a natural gelato that's different and unique every day, because it changes based on the flavors of the raw materials used to make it. This is the Soban family's challenge: to seek out the finest ingredients, favoring those made by small local producers. Only in this way can gelato become an integral part of a food culture that rediscovers the true connection between food as a finished product and the artisans whose work and professionalism made it possible.
