CASALONE

Barbera d’Asti “Ruber Millo” - Barbera del M.to Superiore “Bricco Morlantino” - Monferrato Freisa - Monferrato Rosso “Rus” (Barbera, Merlot, Pinot Noir) and “Fandamat” (Pinot Noir) - Monemvasia (Malvasia Greca) - Spumante Brut “Monemvasia” - Monemvasia Passita We are a family-run winery (10 hectares of vineyards) and produce typical Monferrato wines (Barbera, Grignolino, Freisa, and Cortese) alongside several international varietals (Merlot and Pinot Noir). The rediscovery of the ancient and rare white grape variety Malvasia Moscata (known as Malvasia Greca in the Monferrato tradition), brought about by our father in the 1980s, has characterized the last 30 years of our production. After ongoing experimentation, we now own approximately 3 hectares of Malvasia Moscata, from which we produce white wine, sparkling wine, and passito. In collaboration with the CNR (National Research Council) in Turin, we are engaged in experimental vineyard research on several Malvasia Moscata clones. We also produce three styles of Barbera del Monferrato (base, aged in traditional oak barrels, and barriques), as well as vinifying Merlot and Pinot Noir, both blended and single-varietal. Since the 2014 harvest, Grignolino has been the protagonist of a limited and precious edition, aged in barrels for 24 months, dedicated to one of Pietro Francesco Guala's most famous works, I Canonici di Lu.
