CA’ DU RUJA
The Cà Du Ruja (Casa di Roglia) Winery was founded by great-great-grandfather Carlo in 1822 and continued with the following generations: Carlotto at the end of the nineteenth century; Carlein in 1914, and finally, in 1955, his son Domenico, who, with his wife Elvira, expanded the company to its current 12 hectares. Its Guyot vineyards are arranged in a double amphitheater around the estate, like a pearl within its shell, where only the exposure varies: southeast toward the house, southwest toward the hill. Passito wine is the flagship of the winemaking process, where tradition reigns supreme: carefully selected harvesting of Moscato and Brachetto grapes in crates, sun-drying on racks, and meticulous processing of the grapes in the cellar. Such care and attention have allowed the Cà Du Ruja winery to join the Slow Food Presidium of Moscato Passito della Valle Bagnario di Strevi since 2000, established to safeguard the quality of the passito wine from this particular geographical area. Strevi Gold - The wonderful wine-growing region in which Strevi is located is the heart of an important wine production. The town of Strevi has always linked its history and fortune to a grape, Moscato, and, particularly in the Bagnario Valley, to the wine made from it, Moscato Passito. This aromatic meditation wine comes from these pristine hills, with a predominantly clayey-marly and calcareous structure, as well as from select vineyards that, combined with a particular microclimate, give the Moscato grapes unique aromas and flavors.
