AGRONATURA, ABOUT US Cooperativa Agronatura was set up in 1986 and grows medicinal plants following Biological and Biodynamic Farming methods. The latter is based on the principles of philosopher and esotericist Rudolf Steiner and includes sustainable agricultural production systems that respect the terrestrial ecosystem including the idea of organic farming, inviting to consider the earth and the life which develops on it as a single system. Following the principles of Rudolf Steiner it is possible to have a superior crop quality, thanks also to the use of natural preparations exposed to particular cosmic influences. Our company has the Hills of Monferrato and those of Langhe of Northern Piedmont as its backdrop, with their picturesque landscapes, ancient abbeys, wines, truffles hazelnuts. 50 farms cultivate more than 400 hectares among the provinces of Alessandria, Asti and Cuneo, where most of the work in the fields is carried out manually. The plants harvested in spring and summer are transformed into pure essential oils, using steam distillation and into dried herbs with a procedure at low temperature. Both processes are ideal for maintaining the properties of the plants.
