The winery's history is long. It began in 1931, when a group of pioneers (thirty-eight winemakers, owners of medium- and large-sized businesses) founded the winery and constructed its first building. Their primary goal was to stem the rural exodus, counteract the decline in vineyard areas, and, above all, offer producers more profitable sales opportunities. It was a courageous act of which the winery continues to be proud. It was a cultural and economic choice that still inspires the winery's members today as they face the challenges of an increasingly selective and demanding market.
