MARENCO VITICOLTORI IN STREVI

Marenco was set up in 1925 thanks to Michele Marenco and his dream to make wine from his own vineyard, in the heart of Valle Bagnario of Strevi, an area with the most suitable vineyard terrain. His son Giuseppe, deeply connected to his roots, has continued in his father's footsteps, working on the quality and transmitting his own passion to all his family, friends and customers. In 1956, he built his Winery in the center of the Borgo Alto of Strevi, where all phases from pressing to bottling continue to this day. Since the early 2000s his three daughters, Michela, with her husband Giovanni Costa, Doretta and Patrizia, have continued the family dream with the same enthusiasm and dedication. Andrea Costa, Michela and Giovanni's older son joined the business in 2014. Today, the Marenco estate extends to Southern Monferrato among the hills of Strevi famous for Moscato and Brachetto, and those of Nizza, in the municipalities of Fontanile and Castel Boglione where Barbera has been cultivated for centuries. Seventy hectares of vineyards are cultivated with the sensitivity of the past and constant attention to sustainable agriculture, which has always been an integral part of our culture. The winery, built in 1950, is located in the center of Strevi. This is where all the phases, from vinification to packaging take place. The business logo, the two mallards in flight, has also been inspired by our lands, the lake of Cascina Bassina of Fontanile. All Marenco wines are produced exclusively from native vines cultivated in our own vineyards. Every choice is led by the desire to produce wines of the highest quality, which are an expression of the territory and which pair well and evokes emotion.
