Tesoro del Duomo - Cattedrale di Sant'Evasio

The Cathedral ambulatory is home to several Romanesque and Gothic sculptures, bas-reliefs and fragments of a mosaic floor dating from the 12th century belonging to the Church of Sant'Evasio. The Treasure of the Cathedral – Open Sacristy is located inside the ancient Cathedral of Sant' Evasio. The route offers a double visit: historical and architectural, related to the museum environments, and the exhibition route with ancient mosaics that date back to the 12th century, works of silver and gold, ancient wooden cabinets that house ecclesiastical furnishings and textile articles. The archaeological attic route was inaugurated in 2013. The visitor travels an impressive metal walkway that winds between one span and the other suspended on the vaults to see the development phases of the Cathedral’s architecture, before descending into the women’s galleries of the atrium, where it is possible to admire the most hidden decorative elements close up. The Museum is home to temporary exhibitions during the year (for more information refer to the events section of the website). * MUSEUM OF THE TREASURE OF THE CATHEDRAL - OPENING TIMES * The Museum of the Treasure of the Cathedral - Open Sacristy can be visited on Saturday 3 pm to 6 pm and on Sunday from 3 pm to 5.30 pm.
