Museo d'arte sacra di San Francesco "Paola Benzo Dapino"

The museum is part of the former convent complex of the Church of San Francesco of Cassine, which belonged to the Order of Friars Minor Conventual. The property belongs to the Municipality that has decided to transform it into a museum: the project emerges from the need to exhibit a series of furnishings in a single body formed by the surviving elements of the convent that have required a functional recovery and accurate restoration. The idea to rebuild the Chapter House as one unit, previously divided into two rooms, and restore its frescoes, as well as recover the sacristy and another connected room, has been a significant requirement in the enhancement of the San Francesco complex. The visit takes in the Chapter House, frescoed in the 14th century, the sacristy and a small collection of paintings. Open: - from April to October: Saturday and Sunday from 4 pm to 7 pm. - November to March: Sunday from 3 pm to 6 pm. Guided tours for groups by appointment. Variations for the Easter holidays In addition to the usual opening times, the Museum and the Church will be open in the afternoon (3 pm to 6 pm) on Easter Monday.
