Casa Coppi

Among all the sporting cycling heroes of the past, the name of Fausto Coppi is still a shining example for all cyclists and more. If you want to get to know about the life and times of the Campionissimo, it is possible to visit his birth place in Castellania: the house, currently owned by Ilda and Vittorio Coppi, the children of Fausto’s uncle, and granted on loan for use to the Tourism Consortium “Terre di Fausto Coppi”, was finally opened to the public in January 2000 following renovation and conservation work. This was made possible through the support of the Piedmont Regional Authority and Organisations, institutions and individuals. Casa Coppi offers sportspeople, both young and old, the ideal meeting place of the never-ending affection and admiration for a great human being and sportsperson who transcends time and space. The house is home to a documentation centre full of printed and visual materials, film clips, newspapers, memorabilia and curiosities. Open from March to October Saturday 2.30 p.m. - 6 p.m., Sunday 10 a.m.- noon and 2.30 p.m. - 6 p.m. Only guided tours are available, lasting 45 minutes. Other days, by appointment. Any variations will be communicated via the social channels of Casa Coppi and on the website www.faustocoppi.it which are always updated with the latest news. The House is closed in winter (to request special openings refer to the contact details below).
