CAMPANARÒ... PICCOLO RISTORANTE IN CITTÀ
This successful little restaurant has changed location. It was once tucked away on a side street and now stands proudly on Corso Alfieri, with convenient parking, where Locanda Astesana opened a few years ago. Duilio Moiso is a restaurant veteran and a hard worker. Today, after various experiences in the Asti area, launching restaurants, given his professional restlessness, he seems to have found his calling. So when you visit his restaurant, you can be sure you'll have a wonderful experience.
In the kitchen, the talented chef Susanna Bagnasco, and in the dining room, Duilio Moiso, for a simple yet authentic experience. An excellent selection of wines is also available. Among the appetizers (€9), expect veal with tuna sauce "our way" (without mayonnaise), alongside a terrine of white meats stuffed with pistachios and plums, and a textbook Russian salad. Then the first courses (€9) included a De.Co. dish like the Monferrini gobbi agnolotti (hunchbacks because of their distinctive shape), the borage ravioli with fresh tomatoes, the cod lasagna (excellent), and the tagliolini with porcini mushrooms. The second courses (€12) were also satisfying: sweet and sour rabbit, beef stew with Barbera d'Asti, and stewed tripe, to name just a few. Finally, after a cheese selection, the dessert (€6) was more than satisfying: warm pear pudding with cinnamon ice cream and gianduia mousse. Also suitable for those suffering from diet-related conditions, it has been officially recognized by the AIC (Italian Celiac Association).
