Once upon a time, the doctor's house was the center of the village, where people would knock on the door even at night and gather to share the latest news. Now, this beautiful renovated home has become a quality and substantial agriturismo (with two bedrooms). Luca Amelio, who also produces the wines you'll pair with the dishes, is in charge of the kitchen. The agriturismo unfolds around a courtyard; the interior has the elegance of the noble homes of yesteryear (the original building dates back to the 18th century), with its exquisite frescoed vaults.

We begin with the typical appetizers of this part of Monferrato: blue tit with lard and cooked salami, sarset and chicken salad, pepper flan with sage and mint pesto, rabbit roll, followed by quail egg ravioli and Fassone beef morsels with Ruché. We finish with strawberry jelly, chocolate mousse, and Moscato semifreddo. In other seasons, veal with tuna sauce and Russian salad, agnolotti, tagliatelle, and Ruché stew are a must. We recommend booking well in advance for the restaurant's signature dish: the fritto misto, which is
served hot in the traditional twelve courses (beefsteak, liver, chicken breast, brains, filone, sausage, lung, carrot, eggplant, apple, amaretto, and semolina). You'll leave satisfied.
