Description Alessandria is home to a large number of buildings designed by the famous Maestro, some of which are milestones in 20th century architecture. In Alessandria, Gardella realized buildings with purposes very different from each other, in which shape was always inextricably connected to function. Many of them were commissioned by the Borsalino family, enlightened industrialists and benefactors of the city. The first projects date from the late 1920s, when Ignazio worked alongside his father Arnaldo, and the last to the 1990s with his son Jacopo.
This loop tour leads to the discovery of this valuable architectural heritage and simultaneously of the city.

Day 2
After breakfast, visit the Borsalino Museum: thanks to the modern multimedia supports you will explore the history of the Borsalino family and its inextricable link with the city of Alessandria. Eight monumental display cabinets designed by Arnaldo Gardella for the ancient Samples Room of Borsalino punctuate the passage between as many narrative sections with more than two thousand hats on show: cinema art and design through the most famous hat in the world. A short distance from the museum, the Borsalino boutique on Corso Roma 20 is the quintessential example of the timeless elegance of the House of Alexandria. Opened in 1920, it retains the charm of tradition, thanks to its antique exterior friezes, original early 20th-century furnishings and period mirrors. Special discount for museum visitors.
